May Chang essential oil is steam-distilled from the pepper-like fruits of the Litsea Cubeba tree which is native to China, Indonesia and other areas of Southeast Asia. The Litsea Cubeba plant has a long history of use in Chinese herbal medicine.

Our May Chang oil has a medium strength aroma and a distinct refreshing lemony fragrance with fruity and spicy undertones. Its fresh citrus-like fragrance is fairly similar to Lemongrass, except it is much sweeter and more refined.

This oil is known for its various benefits for skin, among which are purifying, balancing and energizing. It is often referred to as the ‘Oil of Tranquility’ by aromatherapists because of its relaxing properties.
